  • Electrical, Optical and Hydraulic Flying Lead and jumper installation.
  • Temporary parking of MQC and / or electrical / optical connectors during workover / intervention operations.
  • Compartments for deployment and installation of multiple flying leads.
  • Includes electrical / optical connector parking receptacle and/or MQC interfaces.
  • Includes cable strapping/securing arrangement and Ufists suitable for pull-out and positioning.
  • Wrap-on protection sleeve and/or bend restrictors available (e.g. Rock dumping protection).
  • Compartment marking and basket marking.
  • Provision of cable and jumper preparation, loading and pull-out verification tests services.
  • Provision of outline procedures.

Basket compartment quantity, configuration and sizes are advised based on in-house spreadsheet calculation. Input needed is cable diameter, minimum bending radius (MBR) & length.

Flying Lead System
Electrical and Optical Flying Lead, EFL / OFL, Baskets (Rental)

Ubas A, B (incl. hinged arrangement), D or G ROV baskets reconfigured for Electrical and/or Optical Flying Lead. Equipped with compartments, generic type connector parking receptacles, cable securing strap arrangement and marking plates. The parking receptacle can be quickly mounted or repositioned (1 min.). The strapping plates permit quick securement of the cables for deployment. These plates eliminates ‘nipped’ tie-wraps that are often used to secure the cable. Tie-wrap which has been forgotten to be nipped, has in the past damaged flying leads during pull-out. Furthermore, any loose plastic tie-wraps are not left on the seabed after pull-out.

Manual MQC make-up and torque tool (Rental)

The tool fist a 1.5” MQC square drive.

It permit the MQC to be made up manually. It is also provided with a 3/4” square socket interface for final manual torque tool make-up of the MQC.

The tool is available for in together with ROV basket and MQC panels or stands. When hired it is delivered chained to the panel or stands.

Flying Lead System
Ufist – ROV Fist for Hydraulic Flying Lead Installation (Purchase)

The Ufist system includes various types of ROV lifting and handling devices. For HFL installation large fists (100mm dia.) with anti-slip strap are recommended.

The fists are fast to install and do not require extensive duct taping and / or tie wraps for the attachments.

Fist used for flying lead installation is delivered with a temporary shortening ring in order to reduce the risk for entanglement between fists, or fist and jumper during pull out of the flying lead.

For increased fist buoyancy and for easy grabbing the fists they can as an option be delivered with a bendable and buoyant 1” PE tube (also including temp. shortening ring).

Flying Lead System
Ufist – ROV Fist for Electrical / Optical Flying Lead Installation (Purchase)

The Ufist system includes various types of ROV lifting and handling devices. For EFL / OFL installation small fists (65mm dia.) with anti-slip strap are recommended.

The fists are fast to install and do not require extensive duct taping and / or tie wraps for the attachments.

Fist used for flying lead installation is delivered with a temporary shortening ring in order to reduce the risk for entanglement between fists, or fist and cable during pull out of the flying lead.

For increased fist buoyancy and for easy grabbing the fists they can as an option be delivered with a bendable and buoyant 1” PE tube (also including temp. shortening ring).
