Fecamp Windmill Park Met Mast Tow-out and Installation

In year 2014-2015 Udeco seconded personnel to MT Hojgaard in Copenhagen for engineering management for the tow-out and installation part of the Fecamp Wind Park Met Mast Project offshore Normandy, France. The work also included preparation of installation procedures, anchor system definition / design, and assistance in the hire of anchor systems and anchor handling vessel including ROV for the installation operation. ROV Basket with Subsea PLR / Test / Commissioning Manifold – Rental

In 2014 Udeco ‘developed’ the rental Subsea ROV Basket that included PLR / test / commissioning manifold arrangement for the client Technip. The 3” system included HP piping and valves, flowmeter, pressure gauge, HP hose, stab, stab receptacle, hose stab parking, hose handling arrangement, Ubag balancing weight and ROV panel. The piping, tees and valves were hammer union type. Halliburton also hired the same arrangement in 2015 (Aasgard compression project). The arrangement included all interface parts and valve operators required for ROV operation of the manifold, and all parts required for mounting of the manifold in the rental basket. Udecom Tie-in Spool System – Single and Multibore Compact Spool

Prior to forming Udeco, the Udeco personnel had been working in lead engineering positions in Rockwater responsible for among other rigid diverless subsea spool design (first rigid diverless spools in the Norwegian sector), and driverless dual and multibore spools for the Gullfaks South project which were installed in 1998. The first major job performed by Udeco was to develop the design, and assist during fabrication and shallow water test of the Angolan Girassol Field Multibore Subsea Tie-in Spools (Client; FMC). Later the scope also included definition and detail design of the tie-in spool fabrication jigs, as well as a Girassol field layout and optimization study considering flowbases, standard tie-in spools and optional use of Udecom spools. 14” Tie-in Spool Fabrication and Fast Landing Test

In the autumn of 2011, Udeco FMC awarded Udeco a contract for a fast landing test of a 14” full scale Ucon tie-in spool. The main scope was to design and develop a fast landing system for a 50Mt subsea tie-in spool and spreader lift. The scope also included the spool fabrication, lifting spreader fabrication, provision of all lift rigging, lifting system certification, fabrication of adjustable landing structures with guideposts, design and fabrication of a Ucon tooling test control panel and performance of the fast landing test. The achieved controlled landing speed for the 50mt spool and spreader was 0.74 m/s.

Buoyancy based subsea equipment installation and retrieval tool – Rental

In 2011 Udeco designed, fabricated and shallow water tested a deep-water subsea buoyancy tool arrangement for the client FMC (end user was Woodside Petroleum). The tooling arrangement installation intended used for installation and retrieval of smaller of subsea assemblies such as caps and similar. The scope also included preparation of the relevant procedures. The tool assembly included subsea weight, subsea buoyancy, balancing chain and rigging (dymena rope, shackle, links and ROV hooks). Currently, by combining the Ubag system and Ufloat system assemblies + rigging, Udeco can provide similar tooling arrangement for rental. Stine Field Subsea Development, Danish Sector – Extendable PLET Manifold

In the period from 2002 – 2005 Udeco personnel were seconded to Dong E&P A/S in Copenhagen, Denmark, for assistance in conjunction with the Stine Field Subsea Development Project. The Udeco personnel was working in some of the projects key positions. The initial work included re-definition of the development concept in order improve the project economy. The revised development concept was based on Jack-up rig drilling, completion and subsea tree installation (13 5/8”, 5000psi, horizontal with gas lift) of one production well and one water injection well. Subsea Flying Lead Installation Systems

In 2002, Udeco developed and designed a HFL and EFL arrangement Stolt Offshore for the Scarab / Saffron Field offshore Egypt. The system included flying lead installation frames, landing bases and a local subsea guide wire system (see Flying Lead Frame datasheet). For the same project, Udeco also designed the adjustable tie-in spool fabrication stands. The above-mentioned equipment designs were modularized in order to allow for road transport through Europe. On the Stine project in 2002-2004 Udeco also designed the flying lead installation system that was used from the jack-up drilling rig that competed the subsea installations on the field.
